In 2007 ECTA adopted the Conduct Principles, which provided guidelines for performance and compliance with critical Corporate Social Responsibility policies.

These principles aligned with the requirements of the EICC Code of Conduct.

Starting from 2015, ECTA is using the EICC Code of Conduct as the single code. The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition® (EICC®) Code of Conduct establishes standards to ensure that working conditions in the electronics industry supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically. It takes place of the Conduct Principles, which were used from 2007-2014.
